This clock is a limited edition of 24. It consists of seven separately cast pieces of pewter, assembled with handmade brass hardware. The dial of the clock is kitikata rice paper, which is printed, weathered, and given a subtle oil paint vignette. On each piece the date, signature, and edition number are hand engraved on the metal of the dial’s rim. The horizontal orientation of this clock makes it well suited to be hung over things such as TV’s, computer monitors, mantles, doorways…anything with a horizontal line. It can of course also be hung at eye level like the piece of artwork that it is.
Pewter is the only metal that can be cast into the thin sculptured twists that are an intrinsic part of my designs. The specific alloy used is comprised of tin, antimony, and copper. It was given a patina to darken the finish and add depth. Pewter does not rust, and is therefore very easy to care for.
Dimensions: 24” x 8 1/2” x 2”
